Description Project Activities

CSUP has a well structured set of committees for input into their assessment plan (EDUC/TED Team, EDUC associates, CEIS Associates, CPP Diversity and Assessment Resources, WASC Coordinators).  They have created a Program Advisory Board, a Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment (BTSA) program and have hired a permanent Assessment Coordinator.  CSUP activities have included faculty retreats to “educate faculty about the new SB2042 requirements.”  This has led to an assessment/evaluation plan to meet this mandate.  Assessments in the new program include: Student Work Projects, an exit survey, faculty course evaluations, Student Professional Portfolios, Student Teaching Evaluations, and a University Chancellor’s Survey.  An additional performance measure is the Assessment Quality Standards for Teaching Performance Assessment Implementation (TPA).  Student TPA field test data from pilot testing during 2002-2003 includes feedback used to make programmatic decisions.
