Description Project Activities

ISU has several community-based programs and Multicultural Mentorship projects with Chicago Public Schools.  Three partnerships exist which focus on multicultural and bilingual education.  ISU has identified several MCD outcomes in their conceptual framework.  Most MCD outcomes are assessed by the ISU Student Teaching Assessment, a portfolio, a disposition essay, a Disposition Concern Assessment (by faculty), and an evaluation of “successful experiences with children or youth.”  They have institutionalized the lesson Plan Assessment and MCR performance based package in Spring 2003.   ISU’s assessment program is housed in the Student Teaching Office to make assessment efforts more seamless & address testing incentive issues.
