Description of University

WCU is a coeducational residential public university with an enrollment of 7,034 students in more than 120 majors.  Approximately 2.6% are nonresident aliens, 4.8% are African Americans, 1.8% are Native Americans, .7% are Asian Americans, .7% are Hispanic and 88.5% are White.

Description Project Activities

Partnering and collaborating are institutionalized activities at WCU.  They have an on-going, collaborative process, both within and outside the unit, for developing and refining a standard based system.  Several committees have established well-grounded practices in addressing needed candidate development and assessment opportunities.
