WSU has approximately 14,800 students with 90% of them from Kansas.  COE candidates (15% minority), university students (18% minority), and the state of Kansas (17% minority) are significantly more diverse than the teaching profession in Kansas (4% minority) and the Wichita Public Schools (less than 10% minority).

Description Project Activities

WSU has been integrating their plan into their Teacher Education undergraduate program as well as into their Me.D. program for the past 2 years. WSU has identified links between Outcomes, Program Courses, Assignments, and Assessments.  WSU has developed an electronic version of some of their instruments.  Their assessment plan included data collection from students in the undergraduate pre-block, Block I and Block IV teacher education courses.  WSU employs a full-time assessment coordinator.
